Token
A digital asset issued on a host blockchain (e.g. ERC-20 on Ethereum).

In depth
A token is a digital asset that lives on an existing blockchain rather than running its own chain. ERC-20 tokens (on Ethereum) are the most common standard. Tokens can represent stablecoins, governance rights, utility access or fractional ownership.
