Bridge

A protocol that moves tokens between two blockchains.

Definition

In depth

A bridge lets users move assets from one chain to another — typically by locking the asset on the source chain and minting a wrapped version on the destination. Bridges have historically been one of the most-hacked attack surfaces in crypto; prefer canonical/native bridges when possible.
